You have taken the first step and encouraged yourself to post a question while many just stick to replying to other's question. You can then continue to reply to replies as you would get notified.. Personal messages are another channel to interact with select people in private.

@Bertie how can a message be harmful.. but do expect obnoxious ones which you can block.. but to meet someone, you need to do your due diligence and precaution without rushing into meet.
