@RogueLoner I was born in a rural area of northwest Missouri. Those folks especially the older ones were very genteel people who were sweet to children. Children called their parents friends “aunt” or “uncle” and other adults Mr. or Mrs. that type of thing. Of course parents were quick to discipline them as gently as they could so they wouldn’t be offensive to others. The culture is different was different in Oklahoma when we moved down here.
