I am a New Member at Similar Worlds

Hello there, my name's Kris and I'm from Newcastle, England. I used to be a member over at EP and I was gutted when it closed, used to post a lot of life stories and creative writings over there, and made some nice friends there too.

I'm hoping I can do the same here at SW, so from me to you... it's really nice to meet you all, and Happy New Year! :)

@TerryCutter Nice to meet you Terry, there are certainly plenty of us around for sure! :)

@GeordieKris88 I remember when my uncle Stan and auntie Audrey used to come and visit my mum and dad for the day, my mum would ask me to come down as I was the only one who could understand what he was saying! The accent is first rate!

@TerryCutter What's a jordy?
GeordieKris88 · 36-40, M
@vivianoblivion a Geordie, like myself... someone from Newcastle. Famous for our accents, our Brown Ale and Ant & Dec! *lol*

@vivianoblivion It's if your born within a certain distance of the Newcastle-upo-Tyne. They've got their own river. In london, we Cockney geezers have to be born within earxhot of the St Mary le Bow church. We all have our ways.
TerryCutter · 56-60, M
@GeordieKris88 Those two geezers were a right laugh!
GeordieKris88 · 36-40, M
@TerryCutter Yeah I get that a lot too, we definitively take some getting used to, but we're cracking people really. 😁
TerryCutter · 56-60, M
@GeordieKris88 That you are. I have my Cockney accent and when you put us all together it's mayhem!
GeordieKris88 · 36-40, M
@TerryCutter You're a cockney? Sound bunch of people you are. :)
TerryCutter · 56-60, M
@GeordieKris88 Can you imagine us all in a room tanked up with ale - we'd only be talking with gestures and laughter!
