I am a New Member at Similar Worlds

Hey SW community! I'm here.
I was over at EP for a little over four years and it became a pretty big part of my online existence. I'm hoping this place can take it's place. I've checked out RelateToThat, AnswerMug, Vent, and a few others and just didn't feel at home. So far this place looks okay. Obviously they have a ways to go, but this is a pretty good start (thanks SW peeps).

So I bet you're wondering who I am? Well, I'm a junior (third year) student at a fairly well known university in the northeastern United States. I am very much into politics and religion and world affairs and will engage you on almost any topic in that arena. I'm also into girls, but that doesn't mean I don't like guys -- sexuality (note: not "sex" but sexuality) was a big part of what I was exploring on EP. And when I'm not in school, I'm either focusing on my taekwondo in some fashion or I'm in, on, or near the ocean.

So that's enough for now. I'm sure I'll be letting you know more about me as SW develops.

@every one (!) - i think this site has best prospects, AM is ok but not user friendly for me, R2T is totally bland and i love that (for my own reasons - it is a good place to keep a straight face lol!). i was away from ep for so long, but it is good to find friends coming together again.

Hi Sara I'm Karen 24 bi single female just graduated from a five year MBA program almost a year ago to the date I'd so like to be friend's but until they gt pm working guess its kinda have to keep things pg for a while you live in a dorm or a suit I lived in a eight girl suit my roommate was also my girlfriend and partner all five years we were together but she got some great job right away doing something with foreign countries diplomacy so we hAve only been together 3 times since last year's graduations I found ep alot of fun and have a small group of friends that have helped take my mind off her leaving.
I hope similar will be just that lol

@OlderGuy ... No, what I described is a single major (although I am trying to double in History of Western Civ as well, but I digress). I described it the way I did because it is a relatively small department at my school and not many schools offer it. So, naming the major makes it too easy to penetrate my cloak of anonymity. ;-)

Hmmm ... Ivy League ... well since there are only eight of them, this also narrows the field too much and threatens said cloak. ;-)

And yes, I am very closely watching the circus ... I mean election.

Roomie!!! Welcome to SW! Yeah, so far it's not bad, eh? I'm cautiously optimistic. For right now, while I'm in the midst of my final exams in school, I'm kinda glad the site is only half functional because I don't have the time for anything more. :)

Welcome, Sara! How's NE today? Because everything is public here, I won't reveal your city (that we chatted about at length on EP last year). It was in the news recently for one of my (literally) BIG causes - elephants!

I'm sooooooo glad you migrated over here from EP. SW has the potential to become EP 2.0, but that will take time. After all, was EP much in the beginning? Probably not. BTW, I added you on AMug (Muggers? Really, muggers? lol I'm not a huge fan of that site, but too each their own, I guess).
