Peaches My Heritage ?
Indian on both sides ,both Grandma's were full blooded Indian
Moms side Sioux ,Dads side Cherokee
My Dads Dad is the one they write books about ,and his linage is very interesting ,books about the men he comes from too .
I have easily tracked Grandpa's ancestors back to the 1700's
Our name is very old ,and known the world over
Castles and Towns named after us in England ,Ireland and what is now the UK
But the first ones of us in the states were 4 brothers ,,they originated in New York ,stopped off in Ohio and purchased cattle ,headed south to Florida .
Bought orange groves and started a fish business ,,its been relocated many times
ran by many members of the family after Grandpa retired ,
But its still in business ,now it has a pretty famous restaurant too
Now days they mainly cater to the locals for breakfast and lunch ,and private bookings for the rich at night and weekends .
Since the closing of Fulton Fish Market in New York (now reopened under new owners )we no longer ship fish there twice a week ,so its scaled back a lot .
Not the fish house that used to employ most of the people in town
and most of the family were fishermen ,
The town my Great Grandpa founded is but a mere shadow of its former glory .
But our names is still one of the biggest families there ,,but I hardly know any of them ,,I left there years ago and except to come home to take care of my parents until they died ,,I barely look back ..
I have my own tribe now ,,all making me very proud .
I know my Dad would be so proud of them he would bust ,,,
Love ya Sis ,,stay safe
You're brother in Christ
