I'm looking forward to this. I joined because my wife is dying from cancer, and I need to write about it. I have no one to talk to, so this will have to do. My wife has stage IV renal cancer. Late last year, she had her kidney and a large tumor removed. The recovery took a while. Unfortunately, the cancer had spread to her lungs. She started chemo in January. After the discovery of a blood clot in her lung, she was prescribed a blood thinner. A few weeks later, she suffered a subdural hematoma, which resulted in a left craniotomy last week. As of today, all of her hair is gone. In the simplest terms possible, she's been through hell. I dropped my full-time job for a part-time job a few months ago. I needed the extra time to care for my wife. With that extra time comes the occasional alone time, which is spent with my thoughts. After finding this site, I now have somewhere to put those thoughts. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Gianni, I am sorry that you and your wife have to deal with this. She is blessed to have you by her side.
Have the doctors offered to treat her with any new treatment or drug trials that may be available?
Have you checked whether her insurance, the hospital, or any non-profits offer services to her or respite care for you?
Are there any support groups you can attend? You will make new friends who are going through what you are.

@MikeSp Some of her doctors are great. Her oncologist, however, doesn't seem to care. We've tried some support groups, but those just weren't for us.
