I am a New Member at Similar Worlds

I'm sort of new too; February sounds pretty close to the time I joined too. I don't know what the category of "interesting" implies that others have mentioned, but I can tell you that once you go through lists of experiences and read stories of people who are really similar to you, you can meet a lot of good friends. I don't know that from too much experience yet, but I know it's true.
Oh yeah, I care way too much about what people think about me too. I've been trying to get over it, and hey, you will with time. The best advice on that matter I think I've received is to picture things from your point of view. Do you judge other people as much as you think other people judge you? No? The correlation probably transfers to other people pretty well.
I am also a college male, stress, sure. That's college. Social anxiety? That's sometimes feeling you should be doing work instead of spending time on your social life... and just awkward too.... let me tell you a little secret: I'm 19 and haven't had a girlfriend yet. I always thought I was the only one, but know I am not after a few private college conversations. Maybe that'll make you feel better too. It'll come with time.
Being alone without loneliness is solitude. I love solitude, like in the woods or just plain at home sometimes, time to think to oneself. But loneliness is when you feel no one cares about you and you are this one little speck of color outside of everything, part of no painting.
Part of my solitude is finding my faith with God. I noticed that you stated you didn't know really where you stood on that. And that's okay. I still have trouble with my faith sometimes, with my social skills occasionally although I have been getting much better, and I'm studying Religious Studies to go to seminary and be ordained as a UCC pastor. Like debating about religion? Philosophy? I love it. I keep a blog on it, I discuss it with peers, and I can debate with you too. I have atheist friends too, and we have very similar debates. Science, religion, you get the picture now. Video games (only at night, though, mind you), dark chocolate, yes, loneliness, struggling with sexuality too, sure again.
