Because it's not your position to decide what's appropriate. If it makes you butthurt, block the person and move on. Just because you're easily offended doesn't mean everyone is. If it's a personal attack or insult to you, by all means report it. If it's not directed at you, mind your own business and move on.

And btw - I'm not easily offended. I think political correctness has gone WAY too far. What I have a problem with is racism, sexism, Islamaphobia, anti-Semitism, or any other elitist hate. I have no problem with people expressing opinions on controverial topics - free speech is a basic tenet of society. Think of it as a neighborhood watch system??

Bold - all I do is report if i see anything inappropriate - a basic tenet of any good monitoring system is a reporting system
Lluv - if someone posts something categorizing all Muslims as terrorists I do think of it as my place to report it.

Well I've seen plenty of inappropriate things. The moderators have reporting for a reason - so we can speak up if we see something inappropriate. Why are you telling me I'm inappropriate for reporting sexist and racist comments?

I believe in standing up for people. Like reporting a burglary that's not on your property or supporting an anti-racism movement even when the racism is not directed at your racial group

Why don't you just actively look for and comment on things that you align with instead of being a nosy buzzkill out to ruin things for people that happen to be more open minded than you?
