Do you understand what misogyny is?

Misogyny is the hatred of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women and girls.

It functions as a way of thinking or a social system that enforces male dominance, suppresses female power, and punishes women who step outside of rigid traditional roles.

Core Characteristics
Hostility and Bias:
A deep-seated distrust, devaluation, or active dislike of women.
Enforcement of Roles:
Acting as a policing mechanism to keep women in subordinate positions and penalize those who seek independence or authority.
Distinction from Sexism:
While sexism is the ideological belief or structural discrimination that justifies unequal treatment, misogyny is often described as the hostility or enforcement arm that actively polices that hierarchy.

Common Manifestations
Interpersonal Behavior:
Belittling, interrupting, dismissing ideas, or objectifying women in daily interactions.
Harassment and Control:
Attempting to control women's choices, behaviors, or autonomy through intimidation, emotional abuse, or public harassment.
Systemic and Physical Violence:
Escalating into severe acts of physical harm, sexual assault, domestic violence, or culturally systemic oppression.
