Gen 'x' was labled Gen x because at the time, it defied categorising:

Its was ambiguous, an unknown variable.

Before that there was:
The Lost Generation,
The Interbellum Generation
The Great Generation,
The Silent Generation,
Baby Boomers...

(Generation X, sometimes called the forgotten generation, but it didn't really stick)

Then there was ...
Xennials
Millenials
iGen
Now The ipad Generarion or The Covid Generation

...."gen x", "forgotten"....and they wonder why they dont give a fuck.
They were taught everyone else had a 'right' - they just had to "deal with it", "toughen up".

Some have carried that with them: they care for their parents, they care for their adult kids, they care for their job...trained to put themselves last.

Some learnt "fuck that - im 50, ill finally bleedin' care for myself".

And we still don't fit, still dont have a name, and couldnt care less about it.

This should be a group *Oogies Incyklopeedia* but yeah, the economic boom that happened when Boomers grew up disappeared cos wealth DON"T trickle down..in 1965,an entry level job would still mean you could own a Mustang or one of the nice Dodge slant six models...date,maybe marry..the future was so bright ya had to wear shades😎

I took care of my Mom during her last days... because my two bros had wifes⬅ (well one and families...I was always gladII did
@bookerdana yeah. That ecconomic boom busted real quick just as we aged out of childhood.
I remember my dad saying "ypu could quit one job in the morning and have another by lunch".

And these are the ones that complain "kids have got it too easy these days"🙄
