I can guarantee that when there IS EQUALITY and SAFETY: We are all going to have a lot of laughs
and totally will have the safety AND freedom to *lighten up*.

And until then, people who are mostly women,
have so much to do to make this world a safe place for ALL:
Women. Children. All minorities and the most vulnerable people. Men. etc.

WHAT IF OUR MAGAZINES SHOWED MODERN SLAVERY?

I agree and support every item on your post.
I further appreciate the firm but respectful manner of your approach. I don’t think rape or white slavery or sexual harassment(which, since I am older, my friends and I have experienced a lot) are funny. And I know, only too well, how hard it is to lighten up when you are so angry you are sick with it. Likewise, I understand when you are fighting a battle that is not yet won...not even close to won, it feels dangerous to let even one potential violation slip by.

There aren’t a whole lot of Sir Patrick Stewarts out there, and I can’t help thinking there might be more if women could reduce the aggressive posture just a little and try to not see all men as rapists or apologists for rapists. The pendulum still has further to swing, recent events have proven that. It hasn’t been that long since women themselves, who knew full well what was happening, just had it up to HERE and started speaking up and speaking out.

And, as I think about this, while I have been furious and humiliated and sometimes frightened by the issues you so rightly raise, I may just be a little too old to really get it.

And your presentation was terrific and you’ve half-convinced me to stop looking for a sense of humor and only suggest a bit more welcome to the decent men who ARE out there. Humor is my protective coloration and sometimes it’s cowardice.

I think we can ALL benefit from reconciliation.
We ALL need healing.

Women, children, all vulnerable populations and minorities and men need to be safe.

Men must be raised to acknowledge that a woman is not an object she is a invaluable human being.
Also men need to know it's OK to be vulnerable. It is not emasculating. It would give them more FREEDOM to be themselves.

As humans women and men both have male and female so called qualities. It's the way we are. Even if one identifies as a heterosexual.

As babies boys and girls are equally in need of mom's love and attention.
What happens?
The erroneous ways of Patriarchal culture.
That hurts women, people who identify as LGBTQ and men.

It will take time and I would love to see the world as a safe haven for ALL people. Myself included.

Maybe I will need to look down from Heaven, and that's OK. All good things take hard work and time.

Ah, I am getting old and foolish and you just made me cry. I think we did something right too, and it wasn’t really that hard. @LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON

I am getting older and, more cynical.🤷🏻 I think, I am just losing hope (for myself).

So, thank you for your honesty.

I am going to work at seeing things in a brighter light. I am going to dedicate myself to seeking out
people of like mind and heart and soul.

I can talk the talk and I was so valiantly walking the walk.

I still do.
I have a bunch of illnesses and that's a huge reason I am in the dumps.
But I think the hard reality is I don't have the metaphorical tool box to help me.
I mean, it is there, but almost empty.
But it's OK. I will never give up. I will keep fighting the good fight.
