I Am Against Feminism

A Quote From One Of The Strident Anti-Feminists On EP... "No, not all feminism is the same and not all feminists hate men; but feminism as an ideology at its core is ba<x>sed on fear and hatred of men. I often hear feminists who say "I'm not anti-male" and I believe them, but if you're a feminist who is not anti-male then you're not a real feminist!"

What a strange statement to make.

I came across this "anti-feminist" group by chance (an EP friend posted a reply to something) and I confess I am disturbed at the level of hatred that is expressed. The lack of understanding f the genuine principles of feminism is also disturbing.

I certainly agree that much that is NOT right is done in the name of feminism, but that is similar (IMO!) to the wrongs done by so-called Christians, in the name of Christianity. It does not mean Christianity is inherently "wrong" because people act badly in its name. The same applies to feminism IMO.

I also find the number of people who believe the false claims and accusations that are constantly made about feminists and feminism by MRAs and anti-feminists to be quite disturbing.

I don't believe the only real feminist is one who is anti-male.

I find that hard to understand, and I find it even harder that a feminist hater is qualified to make that statement without any kind of qualification.

@Lanavor; Why should I counter it....it doesn't make sense to me. I quoted it so other people could see it, that's all. My comment stands, it's a strange statement to make. It's amusing that an anti-feminist like yourself has an opinion on what a "real" feminist should believe.

I have encountered numerous anti-feminists who claim they know more about feminism than feminists do. I consider that to be such arrogant rubbish.
