I don't say I don't laugh at touchy jokes at all. But around 80% are just primitive words for assholes who just wants to incite hate or relieve their complexes. I don't see a reason why a normal person with a well balanced mind should make up and use this stuff.

you need to look at t joke from the person saying it from where it comes. your previous joke is from a point where there's a dumb woman saying something smart because she heard it from someone else. would you laugh if it was the other way around? would you laugh it was saying a "how do you know a dumb person is saying somethign smart? if he starts a sentence with "albert einstein once said".

you see you think about this too much, when a woman said something dumb you'd tell the first joke, if you see a pervert man who only thinks about sex you give them the second joke!

unless you say in the joke hey woman are super inferior and dumb, and you think thats a joke then no its not its a dumb statement but the other things are jokes! if you don't like them, then don't go to the comedy show who tells them if there's someone doing this joke do not laugh then they know you don't like them and their joke failed and they know they should not do it with you its that simple its just a joke.

Yes, because too many people are assholes and laugh when somebody else is degraded. Whether deservedly or not. Therefore any comedian or "comedian" can find an audience. Even those with utterly disgusting "jokes" about rape, murder, child abuse etc. 😐

@popmol It's simple, if you think a joke that degrades women is funny then you're sexist. Don't degrade women, can't believe that is too much to ask. Words and jokes do have an impact, normalizing the culture of degrading women leads to opression.

i guess stereotypes aren't so great but you see theres a problem there. stereotypes are based on some truth. in America you can say blacks are more violent because they cause more trouble in their own community. Muslims here are also useless because they are constantly on the street and hardly study. not all but a lot. so if someone is saying Muslims are lazy its based on a fact and is then exaggerated.

do you not know what a joke is? a good joke has shock value or a pain in it. its to talk about something bad and then make people laugh. a silly knock knock joke can be funny but cannot ever reach the fun and laughter of a crude joke.

a joke is meant to make people laugh, there will never be a joke that makes everyone laugh and there would be a problem if it did. but if a sexist joke is made in a room full of people like you who don't like those then you should say he should get out and we understand, he didn't know the audience he didn't make you laugh simple. but if someone makes a joke i laugh and its meant for me and its sexist how offended you might be you have no right to stop him or attack him for it since it made me laugh it did what it had to do.

you can joke about everything, you just need to see waht the audience can handle. that is the skill comedians have they feel the room and make the perfect joke. that is what a comedian is.

the problem is you don't see your own fault if everyone in the world can laugh about the joke and you and offing can't that means you are the outcast that means you are not normal. its not us its you. it means you are overly sensitive.

@popmol Then you don't understand it. You can't force anything like this on people. Just like you can't teach people tactfulness, because different people have different tolerance levels. There are people who can predict what they shouldn't tell other person if they don't want to touch them and there are people who have no idea. I know about three people like this and had enough time to realize that it's not their fault that their EQ is lower.

But personally, I find it sad when a person knows that it will most probably offend a person next to them and still tells it and makes excuses that it's just a joke. Especially if these people meet for the first time and don't know each other and the one who is offended can't even leave because she or he will be seen as overacting one. (team building party for example, informal business meeting...).

I have just a humble wish that people would be tactful enough to know when it's appropriate to tell certain things. Especially in teacher-student, employer-employee relationships, where you can't defend yourself.

of course but you can't expect everyone to know it. and certainly not jerk from using it. but i think people in power like teacher shouldn't do it since i had teacher who made horrible jokes when i was small but thats a teacher and completely differnt from the average person who is just there.
