Is it safe to be honest all the time?

Generally, is it safe enough to stay honest in speaking yourself? Or there are certain places where you should lie?

Im honest because I never do anything worth lying about and my memory sucks so I can't ever remember what I lied about. I guess I'm honest by default lol
