Get almond milk or soy milk fortified with vitamin B12, it's a vitamin found in meat and it's important to get that in other ways. There are also vegetable protein powder you can use for extra boost of protein. Beans, and nuts are vital and get comfortable with tofu :)

Stop eating meat, but keep eating fish, milk, dairy products eggs too. I weep for your soul though.

@SaintAdelaide I'm aware of this. As an aspiring farmer my meat products won't be antibiotics treated.

Unless you grow your food most fruits and vegetables are monoculture grown with pesticides and herbicides. Even organic farming utilizes these chemicals but are considered to be less potent or more environmentally friendly. Most modern day agriculture mines the soil for nutrients rather then building the soil in organic matter. The way we grow our food enmass is so ass backwards that it just defies logic.

@Socialclutz I might try the grasses beef market every once in a while, it's so expensive but worth it.

Honestly I recommend you definitely look into the sources of your meat. If farming is not an interest of yours than maybe hunting/fishing can be. Grassfed is tasty but as demand goes up hopefully the available market supply will go up and the prices will be more affordable.

Start by investing in some visits to vegetarian restaurants so that you can try different vegetarian dishes and develop some new favorites. And some health food stores have vegetarian take out food so you can try some new foods that way as well. Then learn to prepare your new favorites and base your eating on those vegetarian foods you like.

I recommend starting by giving up red meat. I did that 5 days ago and it's going well. I'm still eating fish though. I think one step at a time is better than going the whole hog all at once.

One thing that helped me decide this was watching videos and reading about how animals are treated at feedlots.

Try to take it slowly. For example: Eat meat only once a week.Try this for a month and then completely avoid meat.Home cooking helps. Then there are vegetarian meat made from soy, you could try that if you have craving for meat.Hope this helps.👍
