Why did Trump Jnr publish emails about them being in contact with Russians during the campaign??

NY Times was about to publish the emails. He got out in front of that.

I'm sure the investigative committees had those emails along with a whole lot of other evidence. I imagine they thought that by releasing them it was showing 'transparency.' I guess they didn't figure anyone would go back and look at the dozens of times he and the Trump campaign denied meetings ever took place.
What's telling to me is that we, as the public, are probably privy to 1/20th of the evidence that's available. This is just the beginning. My question is how late in the game will it be before Trump resigns. No WAY he's going down with this ship.

It would have come out in any case at some stage, so best to front up. Apparently it's a felony, but I can't see much harm in sourcing information from anywhere, especially if it's true. This apparently makes me a 'troll' though according to some...

The NYT story and Trump jr did this to either appear proactive/ "transparent" or was forced.

I predict more to come because Russia is unhappy that the sanctions are still in place and they don't have their USA compounds back yet.
