I was in a two hour discussion this morning about these very sentences that both you and I have just written. The question then becomes, "when we know better, why do we keep undermining ourselves by listening to that wrong voice?".
Even when we know the correct answer, for some reason we will choose the voice that does not serve us well. We must be getting something out of making that conscious decision to choose wrongly. What do you think we might be getting out of choosing wrongly?

@swirlie: I think it's a part of being human. Sometimes I feel ready to take on the world, other times not as much. I admit, I don't overthink it. 😏
