If society harps on about how women face discrimination, isn't it a sign that we live in a good society?

and it might influence young women to see things from a very skewed perspective.

If you have access to a microphone/camera, a system to broadcast globally, international organizations to lobby for you, and get to push your message onto the masses often, can you truly say you are being discriminated against...?

hi BetaCuck
That is illogical to say because you can complain about something that all is well. Plainly it is good that a society allows criticism but it is bad that citizens are discriminated against on the basis of gender particularly when they are the majority gender 52%. This might well give young women a skewed perspective but not because" society harps on about" that discrimination but because it persists.
Logic is a far better basis for living as it makes sense. Discrimination should be eliminated and not be institutionalised.
Best wishes

@sogdianrock: I'm not sure women are unfairly discriminated against, at least in the UK, the US, Australia, Canada and any western civilization. It's particularly hard to see any evidence that there are prevalent issues with sexism against women in places like these. In fact, there is a strong argument to be made that the reverse is true. There is a very persistent myth that women in the US are paid less than men, when the reality is that men and women make different lifestyle choices. Men tend to work longer hours to provide for their family, so that statistically speaking, they make more money on average. Does that simple, obvious explanation get noticed? No, of course not. When the Obama administration was accused of paying male staff more than female staff, they had trouble explaining why. In a contradictory statement, Obama said that pay equality between males and females needed to be addressed. There is way too much pandering to women when it comes to these 'issues'. Things are skewed, it's not hard to see it. A smart woman will turn on TV, see the half dozen ads involving female empowerment and realize that there are people profiting from women who actually believe they are victims because they are women.
