Yes! My two parents that were polar opposites of each other. My mom was always the strict, no-nonsense parents while my dad was the cool and funny parent who always let my sister and I get away with things. But both were great parents in their own right. I still seek them for guidance whenever I need it and they're still very helpful.

My mother was better toward me than my father ever thought of being.
Even now as I think about that horrendous childhood I become silently angry.
I hated it then and I feel no less hatred for it now.

My father was horrible, he was mental and seemed to have resented me from the time I was born. My mother loved me I'm sure of that.
