the 1 stands for that it's not a blended refrigerant, there's no glide on it

back in my day we used R-12 so we could tan faster, and we would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids

@crossproduct: lol, r-12 is banned across most of EU now. However, apparently it's still used to clean the airplane hangars from all the oils in the US navy!!

@crossproduct: us navy doesnt have time to care about regulations, its a trivial matter when it comes to home defense ;)
