"My thoughts and prayers are with you" has kinda become an automatic response to those who've lost someone, even from those who don't even believe

in prayer. It's kinda like "i hope you feel better..but not really because I don't believe in hope"

k..slight exaggeration but the point remains.

These people who offer prayers will also tell you that god doesn't exist. They want the attention of helping without the effort of helping. Which is most people, nowadays.
