"My thoughts and prayers are with you" has kinda become an automatic response to those who've lost someone, even from those who don't even believe

in prayer. It's kinda like "i hope you feel better..but not really because I don't believe in hope"

k..slight exaggeration but the point remains.

That's a bit mean..well who prats and wish well for you can't do anything beside praying. So atleast they can transfer positive vibes. And one should be kind enough to accept that. But only if their intentions are true.
