Why are things—like murder—seen as way worse when women are involved?
For example: If a group of people are murdered, people are more shocked and sad when finding out some were women.

Maybe because close to 90% of homicides are committed by males. Mass murderers are almost always white males. Yes, women kill too....the numbers make it a bit of a shock when they do though...and they kill for different reasons and in different ways...just as heinous but, men take the big prize when it comes to killing
