It's interesting to note that believers essentially argue for creation being through 'wishing power'. The design argument is then one for 'precision wishing power'. That there are stories of this going wrong when man attempts it is perhaps meant to convey his lack of both power and intelligence. The 'gods' on the other hand are portrayed as tricksters.
