Sure there is. Practice deviates from scripture. Just like it does in every religion ever. The Bible is full of horrible shit most Christians do not include in their lives, hence why I brought it up. There's almost two billion Muslims. If every single one of them was a maniac bent on world domination we'd be fucked.
Reading the Koran through the lens of your confirmation bias does not make you an expert. Islam is not a happy lovey religion of hugs and kisses like a lot of lefties make it out to be, but its actual adherents are just people trying to get by in life like anyone else.
