What age can someone be considered a cougar?

I like the word cougar.

typically over 40, but I'm sure if you wanted, they would bend the rules and you could be a cougar right now.:)
@Diggler: Doubtful. A young woman can't really be a milf, either. It would be like a 20-something calling himself a "dirty old man".

@bijouxbroussard: Actually, it's not like that at all. If you dissect the term "milf" , it refers to "mother", and does not specify the age of said mother. Some women have children when they are 18-21. They are therefore mothers, and assuming that men would like to....well, you can dissect the term "milf" yourself, than by definition alone, they most certainly qualify as a proper "milf".

A cougar refers to a woman who is older (not old as in old man), and who younger men are attracted to. I'm not sure who the rule makers are here, but if a woman in her 30's is attractive to young men in their late teens and early twenties, then she is in fact older, and in my opinion qualifies as a cougar if she so wishes to be so. :)
@Diggler: Well, the only folks I've known using it were classmates of young men with attractive mothers. Who would specify they wanted to "f" someone just because they have a child ? 🤔

@bijouxbroussard: I'm not sure, having not created the term myself, but by that logic, then maybe the term "milf" should be changed to "wilf". W=women, and keep it general, rather than specifically targeting M=Mothers. Mothers by definition are women who have children......specifically. Again, not my idea, but it is what it is. Perhaps ask your classmates why it matters .
@Diggler: To clarify: the first time I heard the term was decades ago when the college classmates of an older friend's son were caught calling her and me "milfs" and we wanted to know what it meant. So rather than "asking classmates" I looked up the term and got the following:

"a sexually attractive older woman, typically one who has children."

thanks for the clarification. I think I got it kinda spot on, but who doesn't like reaffirmation? I was going to Wikipedia "mother", but I think we've exhausted the matter enough already. lol 👌
@Diggler: We probably have, but you didn't, really. Your definition would call an 18 year old mother of a toddler a "milf", simply because a 16 year old was interested. I don't think that's how it was intended.

@bijouxbroussard: O.k, and you can think what you want. The fact remains, a mother, by definition is a woman of no specified age, who has a child or children. If you want to assume an age requirement, go ahead. I prefer to take things at face value, and so I believe a milf is exactly what it says......word for word. I'm not assuming anything, nor am I adding or subtracting words from the original term. I assume that I have the right to do so. If you disagree, well then....we just have to agree to disagree. :)
@Diggler: I understand context. But indeed, nothing to be gained by belaboring the point. Peace.
