What's the most venomous critter you've been bitten/stung by?

You lot are lucky. You only have one venomous snake and one very mildly medically significant spider. :-)

I'll take that anyday :) my sis lives in Oz now there's a place with nasty critters :)

You're not kidding. When I was there on vacation, a friend showed me a nest of Sydney Funnel Webs. Seriously scary looking spiders. :-)

That's true. They have about nine of the most venomous snakes in the world , and yet luckily very few people die of snakebite in Australia, whereas tens of thousands of people in India and the Middle East are killed every year by venomous snakes. Don't even get me started on box jellies. I was scared to swim in the ocean in Australia. :-)
