I rented one in Germany. It was 25' with a Fiat diesel chassis. I really liked it but I can't imagine driving those huge American style buses. I also like the very small holiday trailers that are available now. They are very smart in their space usage and a nice improvement on the typical aluminum boxes that are towed around.

@Stereoguy: Through Germany France right to the south of Spain. 5,000km in 14 days. I really liked it but it had too many single-night stays due to the timetable. I could see doing it longer term when I'm retired but I'd want a very small RV or converted van.
my family bought one used when i was a kid.. we all lived in it.. all 7 of us.. for years
