Is there anyone out there who often prefers not to defend themselves when attacked ?

I mean verbally. It could be from an awareness that one is over-sensitive, a strong dislike of hostility, a determination not to descend to that level, or what some would call cowardice - although I'd defend someone I loved being attacked.

I feel my walking away is a strong statement, and if it's seen as cowardice, I am not there to debate that point either. Toxic people attack for pleasure not out of reasoning. You can't win a point with someone like that.
