Is there anyone out there who often prefers not to defend themselves when attacked ?

I mean verbally. It could be from an awareness that one is over-sensitive, a strong dislike of hostility, a determination not to descend to that level, or what some would call cowardice - although I'd defend someone I loved being attacked.

"sticks and stones can break my bones..." people who attack other people are not going to respond to reason, they just want to fight. I'd prefer to not give them the satisfaction of a response. Bye.
