Is there anyone out there who often prefers not to defend themselves when attacked ?

I mean verbally. It could be from an awareness that one is over-sensitive, a strong dislike of hostility, a determination not to descend to that level, or what some would call cowardice - although I'd defend someone I loved being attacked.

Depends on the person and situation. I can defend myself verbally very well, but when you're talking about a narcissist-mental person let it go, they will call you things that are really true about themselves, I have dealt with two of them and the best thing is to walk away and stay away.
