Is there anyone out there who often prefers not to defend themselves when attacked ?

I mean verbally. It could be from an awareness that one is over-sensitive, a strong dislike of hostility, a determination not to descend to that level, or what some would call cowardice - although I'd defend someone I loved being attacked.

Most often these days if I don't see anything to be gained, I'd rather walk away or pay lip service to get away quicker.

I'd rather flow around the rocks in the stream than try to flow through them. There is so many of them after all. 😔
