How to look more approachable?

I have a resting b i t c h face and people tell me I look cold and mean. That they were afraid to speak to me at first and that they were shocked I was nice. O.o I don't think I look mean or anything, I think I look like a normal human being. But for future knowledge, how can I look friendly?

I think a lot has to do with body language and attitude. And if your username is anything like your real personality (and age), then maybe that's the message you're sending out to people..even if you smile and look normal on the outside.
