@Shipwrecked: thats why its stressed in my home pets are pets not family ,,
when your Mom treats her dogs better then her kids ,and teaches your kids to call them aunts and uncles ,,,NO that's gone to far in my opinion ,,
So I have trouble with people who don't know the difference
my "Pet" protects my kids ,,but it is not one
Pets die in say 12 yrs if they are taken good care of some 17 -20
but as a rule they teach kids responsibility ,living things need taken care of
they also ready them for death ,,,its better to loose a few dogs before you loose Grandma ,,so you can lie and say the dog and Grandma are waiting for you in heaven,, Grandma has someone to keep her company
I love my dog but the IRS says she's not my Daughter ,that settles that
