Has anyone on this site ever hurt you?

A 40 year old woman did once, nonstop, everyday, for 11 days. It was scary. She sent hateful private messages to me, commented hurtful things on a question I had posted earlier, she even created an entire thread about me. In the end, she claimed I deserved it. I even copy and pasted the rules from this site and sent it to her so she'd know that her actions were wrong. According to her, she's allowed to break the rules because I somehow "offended" her by publically sharing memories of my childhood and what it was like to grow up as a lower-class Hispanic in country that's mostly White.

I just have to say this, people cannot hurt you with their words unless you allow it to happen. I am not blaming you for feeling what you feel. Your pain is valid, however, you expression of pain validates that person's attempt to hurt you. The lady who wrote hurtful messages to you had nothing else going on in her life. She is small, insignificant, and wants to feel important by eliciting a reaction from people better than her. It's her source of self-worth. Healthy people find self-worth from who they are and the things they do. Sick people validate their own lives by dragging down people better than them. Give her no validation. Block her. When you see a message from her, delete it and give it no mind. The opposite of love is not hate, it's apathy. Pay not attention to her, and she will shrivel up and wither away.
