Yes. But for some people? honestly no.. i did not quite understand why but someone who was close to me once said a phrase i needed to think on, and it made sense to me, even though i personally choose honesty for a very personal reason.
the phrase was "What the eyes don't see, the heart does not feel" and in many MANY cases, i've seen that proven so true. I'd probably be happier if i lied, but i'm compelled not to.

@Shaman: nah, just a personal choice. i made a promise to myself. last time i lied, it impacted me in the worst way, and i lost the thing that meant the most to me(my sister), and i said i would never do it again unless it was to SAVE someone. i haven't had to make a choice like that yet. so far telling the truth seems to be working for me. i don't see why it should bother anybody. and what i gain. is not having that fear that i had when that happened, that something that seemed"small" could make such a huge impact

@DancingStarGoddess: Is it on your profile? I'm curious about your story...
@Shaman: yes, it's a story that says " i have lost a sibling" i lied to cover for her. and she's gone for that, if i'd told the simple truth? she might have lived, she wasn't even that far away from home.

Most people can't handle the truth and most of them lie that they prefer honesty
