@hugosfbay: Actually people take photos and make them appear remote. Kind of like the Taj Mahal, if you go around to the back there's all kinds of garbage that looks like it goes for a mile or more....I bet you can smell the stench when visiting the Taj Mahal.

@hugosfbay: I remember the smells of Morocco. The medinas were all right, the incense samples burning, fragrant oils, the spice markets, the mouth-watering varieties of olives, the fresh mint and other herbs...but go walking around where chickens are butchered or blood disposed of in a public area, or kids burning plastic trash on a street corner or a thousand more nasty smells...yuck.

@hugosfbay: I was sitting in an upstairs section of a restaurant in Marrakech and a cat walks in through the window from the roof..begging for scraps of barbecue.

@hugosfbay: I did often enough. One time in Asilah sitting outside having lunch and there were 5 or 6 cats wandering around watching diners (it wasn't crowded)...and a little pregnant cat quietly comes to my side where the other cats couldn't see her and gently tapped my leg...she got fed all right..sweet and smart kitty... and I liked her style.
