@Fernie: I was checking out rents just out of curiosity, and the downtown flat where I lived in the 80s for $300 a month now costs $3000 per month. $3000 to basically live in "the hood". 😩

@bijouxbroussard: We are being forced to live in ghettos now. "Working poor" is a relatively new term and despicable. I also was paying 600 dollars a month for a 9 room apartment in the early 90's....it's 2500 now. It's nothing but greed. Landlords need to be controlled.
