Is there some sort of smear campaign against me out there?

@Elandra77: Yeah Lorna is a minor but she blocked me before the auto block went active...we had a big arguement...the others are above 18 tho

@Elandra77: I've been trying to figure out how the mass blocking works. Those of us over 18 cannot even see those under 18 in the online feed ... but if they post a story, we can read and comment if we choose to. I think it is simply based on age.

@IcePrincess: Yeah--the auto block. They are having a meting on that tonight. (Inside info) Lorna was the only one I had talked to in PM. But americanmeg and I can no longer talk. And she is 16-17.

The others you mentioned are familiar but we have never spoke. So I was not aware of their rage.

@AllAboutLaffs: I have been talking to a number for a few hours about this today, admin included. It is hypocritical that we can see and reply to their posts- but not talk one to one with them.

They have painted with a broad brush- all men are perverts and all woman are predators. And not to be trusted. But it is site wide.

This is only going to encourage those that are minors, and truthful, to close their account and be deceitful. Lie about age and get a fake email. And come back as being 22 or whatever. Honest kids that would normally not think to go that route--will-because they have lost friends.

This is just BAD policy. If anything, it should be at the discretion of the user.

@Elandra77: I agree that it should be at the discretion of the members. But with that "broad brush", SW is trying to protect the interest of the minor members. I get that ... it makes sense. I'm wondering if SW will prohibit those under 18 from changing their age now that it is set to under 18.

@AllAboutLaffs: i told SW that I agree with thew sentiment and the intent. But they went about this very wrong. Never was there an admin announcement. At EP. Arsineh or Arman would have sent out an bulletin that was a t the header of our page for days. This change would have been sent to all. We would not have been blind sighted by it. This was done in an underhanded method. And I do not think they thought of the consequences. They were just focus on the "good" they were doing.

Did they ever thin that many 13-17 talked to those older as they needed an older opinion on life? Or guidance form one who has lived a lot longer? Or a counselor as they had not IRL? Ot that they miss talking to an older sibling, One who married or went off to college. One a bit older on here was their "surrogate' for that person.

@Elandra77: I know. There seems to be an overriding assumption that the only reason an adult and a minor would be communicating is of a pervy, manipulative or sexual nature. Many members here have expressed the same opinion. That "broad brush" you mentioned extends to the community as well.
