Their money insulates them from the realities of the average, often resulting in arrogance, and contempt, for the poor. Benevolence and wealth are a rare combination, malevolence with wealth is common.

@VeronicaPrincess: Not just money but they operate black-mail rings where they can expose one another if they want to make trouble. And not just money but the power to have people killed if they attempt to expose the truth.
