When you go out for breakfast do you prefer the big chains or the local mom and pop reaturaunts?

We don't call them mom and pop restaurants but independents are always better. A good breakfast has to have eggs and bacon, everything else is variable.
@Stereoguy: I'm not a fan of the sweet stuff that you find on an American breakfast, oatcakes would be my first choice, the Staffordshire sort not the Scottish.
