Miley twerking
Britney losing it

Taylor breakup
Taylor upset with Kim
It's pablum.
It isn't news.
It doesn't affect us one iota
What it does do though, is it consumes airtime, brain time, any pretence at real journalism.
People begin to apply relevance to it.... because we are trained to.
And while we are looking at these circuses.
No one wants to see what the real powers are doing to us.
It's a smoke screen.
Sit down, grab a glass of wine, and watch the Bachelor. Coz that could be you. Watch the Apprentice coz you too can be a billionaire even if you're dumb as a box of rocks. You too can aspire to be Taylor or Oprah, or a Shark on shark tank because we have shown you all their glittery shiny toys.

But the circus makes us believe we can, and that belief keeps us tuned in.
