criticizing isn't bad per se. it's how you do it, or how you use your words to demean or uplift others. constructive criticism is always good. so i would say that your sister was wrong in using harsh words to give her thoughts on what you wrote. she can give you better feedback in order to improve yourself without being that mean.

Ahhh, my opinion it was so good, you shamed your sister. She dare not tell you how great you truly are. She has a FAT head and cannot allow anyone to turn away from looking at her... to look at you. Her opinion would have been nice. Yet she wasn't going to show her approval that you might be better. B U T!!! share it with us and listen to our thoughts.
Trust us and allow us to judge your words.

Then don't ask for their opinions.

@Serenitree: what ever do you mean? She should have been nicer about it
Serenitree · F
@MissNiceGirl: okay. Here's my nice opinion.

You're a nice person. You want everyone to be nice. But people have their own opinions, and when you ask what they think, they suppose you want them to be honest, so they tell you the truth.

Life isn't usually kind and gentle. You can have kindness or you can have honesty. Be sure to tell the person you're asking which you really want.

I'm happy to lie to you, if it will make you feel better.

Better learn the definition of the word paranoid. It certainly doesn't fit in this story.
