Honestly speaking do you think you are an open minded person? If you are, would you accept if your core believes were proven wrong?

Most people would think about talking about life/religion etc (which I kinda am lol) but this goes for any core value/belief that you might have.

As an opened minded person can your truly accept you were wrong and start with a blank slate?

So if a magical staircase to heaven appeared and God descended to pass judgement on everyone, would I be flabbergasted?

Yes. Yes, I would be shaken to my core.

@Ax17x7: it's cool that you say that man, but I wonder if the religious people (like myself lol) would accept if they found out that "god" does not exist and all other believes was based on advanced aliens or whatever lol.

It would be hard to accept but I would be open to it and start to ask a million question lol
@Curiousguy833: I figured that's the perspective from which you were looking, because the common narrative these days is that religious people are wrong, stubborn and "closed minded", as you insinuated and on the other hand "science" explains.

My point is that, people who claim to be open minded, even scientifically minded people, may not necessarily be open minded.

@Ax17x7: I would be lying if I said I am not biased, and you would be right when you say that a lot of people nowadays think that religious people are wrong or stubborn etc.

Also you did answer my question when you said that people who claim they are opened minded, may not be opened minded and that's interesting.

So that got me thinking... maybe the point of being open minded is to accept what others think even if you don't understand it. Don't hate or love... be indifferent?
@Curiousguy833: I think being open minded means that you are at least willing to entertain someone else's perspective and give it a fair assessment. You don't need to accept their views as truth, and criticism doesn't necessarily mean a closed mind. An amount of scepticism is healthy.
