Even if you are not into poetry you might like this one, What do you think of the concept introduced?

Times like This

I am a mirror displayed in the grand entrance,
Taking a glance at me exhibits penance.
Wall-mounted and equal-sided in a bold silver frame of indefinite continued threads of time.
I reveal you to yourself, as I have done on many other occasions.
Times like this, however, you see only the misfortunes.
Sweet little dear don't you notice what you choose to have me bestow is ruining you?
Times like these I reflect, and your mood ricochets between flat and further shallow.
I may hold the rights to exhibit, but you possess the power,
To choose what you will notice from my projections
I am a light-reflecting object
Please do not use me for dark impressions.
Front to back.
Everything I behold has an opposite.
Even with a crack.

I am a friend who tells only the truth
Sometimes I am misunderstood.
I can both distress and soothe.
It just depends on what you choose to see.

I am a reflective medium that evokes equilibrium.
Directing your focus on one part and ignoring the other is delirium.
To be truly happy one must know sadness.
You need to know destruction to comprehend the fundamental principal of constructiveness.
Embrace and balance.
Use your perception to your advantage.

Very nice. It actually got me thinking.

Well just perception in general. How I look at someone and how people see me. In my head, I imagined me in the middle of an empty room and tried observing me as someone else would, and then I imagined me observing people in a crowd and took note of what I would notice or think about them. Not to sound narcisstic, I know sometimes people observe me, but I've never thought about what it would be like to watch me and my behaviors. In addition to that, I don't consciously take note of how I perceive people. I know I think something about them, but I didn't really think about my decision to focus on certain things... haha, sorry for the long paragraph 😅 I just think a lot.

We must be twins lol.Ps How you got all that from the poem I don't know.Your answer just made me consider the same things.

Haha it's because I thought of a reflection more three-dimensionally. Plus, not only am I imaginging myself as the person being observed, I'm also in a way thinking as if I'm the reflective medium.
