doesn't building muscle make you heavier...not fatter
Goralski · 56-60, M
@Fernie: no
Fernie · F
@Goralski: that seems to be the consensus

@Fernie: a pound of muscle weights d same as an pound of fat
Fernie · F
@Goralski: "Muscle Gain - Muscle gain is the most common reason for weight gain caused by exercising. Muscle is comprised of small dense fibers, while fat is comprised of larger, less dense droplets. This means that even if you lose fat, you may notice a weight gain if you're simultaneously gaining muscle."

@Fernie: that's actually true but yoga doesn't build muscle mass
Fernie · F
@Goralski: no one said anything about yoga goralski...just exercise...which is what we ALL responded too.

@Goralski: I was reading about that. It makes you lean.

@Goralski: but per volume muscle is much heavier than fat, it has a higher density. So properly one would say muscle is more dense than fat, but people may not understand if it's said that way.
