my great grandfather was a semi-pro boxer and my grandfathers brother use to fight in tournaments before mma became popular.

One of my German ancestors founded a Lutheran church in rural Virginia in 1765 and fought directly under Washington in the Revolutionary War. The church is still active and knowing that my family helped shaped the US from the early colonial days makes me proud.
