Do you think most of us are ruled by our past , or is it the parts of you personality you inertially had with only a bit of your experience influencing you?

I think we tend to be ruled by our past experiences.
But if we have awareness of how we react in response to our past (in the face of making new choices) we can have more control over our lives and the direction it takes.

Our behaviors now in the present were often established by actions and experiences set in our childhood. Trace all behaviors of all people and its origins can be found in childhood.
