Dear PureBlossom,
You could add rainbows and rivers to your list of mysterious wondrous things...and I love your idea of mirrors, it is said that Impressionist Mary Cassatt (1844-1926) purposely included mirrors in her paintings as an invitation to reflection...

Rain is always mysterious, although it's not every day.

Nothing in your house is a mystery. Mirrors simply reflection of a reflection. Light hits your red shirt. Almost of that white light is absorbed except for wavelengths that, when reflected from your shirt to your eyes, show up as red. The mirror just reflects the red light to your eyes, which is why you see the red shirt in the mirror. The mirror does this because it's made from reflective material.

@IchBin2: perhaps I should have something that could inspire mystery. For example mirrors have Insipred many poems and fictional objects and worlds .

@IchBin2: The "mystery" transcends physics. You sound like an engineer. 😉
