So you're saying ALL Republicans think I'm a terrorist because I'm from Nigeria? Well, that's wrong. The man I was named after is a Republican. He was very nice to my dad when we used to live in the united states and helped him settle down in the 90s before he started a family. A lot of people were racist towards him but Mr. Richmond V. was the only nice person towards my dad.
My dad's best friend, a professor at the University of Texas is also a Republican. Who has visited Nigeria enough tines and even participated in cultural dances in my hometown. He doesn't think Nigerians are terrorists.
And, I completely understand the 'fear' about terrorists. Even here in Nigeria, people from the South are wary of people from the North because the North is the hotbed of terrorism. And while you don't mean to discriminate, you never can tell who's going to blow up something all of a sudden. That doesn't mean I hate Northern Nigerians, in fact I have a lot of friends from the North. But my safety comes first.

@rickfreeman15: Not [b]all[/b] Republicans. But to make such a statement in 2017, that's who you're aligning yourself with now. The election last year made that clear. They're not keeping out the Saudis, even though most of the 9/11 pilots and Osama Bin Laden were Saudi, and supposedly the entire reasoning behind the ban stemmed from our vulnerability after 9/11. Why do [b]you[/b] imagine they were excluded ? 💵💰

I believe you're aware not all Republicans voted for Trump, and enough of them vehemently opposed him? Republican does not equal Trump supporter.

@rickfreeman15: I'm aware, as well as the fact that some conservative Democrats did. But through Trump that is the party currently running our country.
